SCOPE/GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB:  

The Revenue Cycle Consulting Analyst is responsible for supporting Senior Consultants across client engagements through data analytics, high-volume claims review, financial modeling, project coordina tion, and the development of client-ready deliverables. This role works directly alongside Senior Consultants to provide the analytical depth and project support needed to keep engagements organized, timely , and aligned with client expectations, particularly on projects involving significant claims-level analysis.  

The Revenue Cycle Consulting Analyst is involved in meaningful, client-facing engagement work and is expected to support timelines, meeting preparation, follow-ups, reporting, and deliverables while building toward increase ownership of consulting workstreams over time. This position is suited for an individual with a foundation in healthcare finance, data analytics, or revenue cycle who is seeking to grow into broader client-facing consulting responsibilities. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  

• Support data collection, cleaning, and structuring for client RCM assessments across specialties 
• Conduct manual review of denied claims, payer policies, and AR aging data at volume to identify patterns and quantify revenue leakage 
• Help build and maintain the financial models and dashboards used across client-facing assessments, keeping methodology consistent from engagement to engagement
• Translate raw data into clear findings, opportunity sizing, and recommendations that a client's finance leadership can act on  
• Track engagement timelines, milestones, and follow-up items across active workstreams  
• Coordinate meeting preparation and documentation for client and internal working sessions  
• Support workflow mapping across front-end, mid-cycle, and back-end revenue cycle processes  
• Assist with process optimization and root cause analysis, tracing revenue leakage or process breakdowns back to their underlying cause  
• Client-ready reports, decks, and one-pagers that translate raw data into clear findings and recommendations  
• Engagement status trackers and timelines maintained on an ongoing basis  
• Take on direct ownership of smaller client engagements or workstreams as skills develop  
• Build toward independently running client assessments and presenting findings  
• Other duties as assigned  

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:  

• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Finance, or related field required.
• 1-3 years of experience in healthcare finance, revenue cycle management, data analytics, or a related consulting role 

QUALIFICATIONS:  

• Comfortable building financial models from raw, messy data 
• Sharp, clear writing; able to turn a messy dataset into a clean narrative a client will read  
• Comfortable with ambiguity: able to take a rough ask and build something useful without every detail spelled out  
• Genuine curiosity about how hospitals and physician practices get paid, and where revenue is lost along the way  
• Excel required : comfortable building models, pivot tables, and formulas from scratch  
• Power BI or similar BI/dashboarding tool  
• SQL or comparable query language for pulling and shaping data  
• Familiarity with EHR/practice management systems such as Epic or Cerner  
• Prior exposure to complex or high-volume specialty billing (oncology, radiology, or similar) a plus  
• CRCR, CHFP, or progress toward either a plus  
• Familiarity with HFMA or RBMA a plus
