Job Description

RVR is seeking a dedicated Polisher to join our high-volume, chef-driven restaurant in Venice.

This is a great opportunity to build a foundation in hospitality and grow within our service team. Our Polisher play an essential role in creating an exceptional guest experience by ensuring every piece of glassware, silverware, and service item meets the highest standard before it reaches the dining room.

Team members who demonstrate strong performance, professionalism, and leadership potential will have the opportunity to train and develop into a Food Runner role.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Each employee is responsible for performing the essential duties of their specific role as outlined below. Duties may be modified at any time based on operational needs.

• Process all glassware and silverware to established cleanliness and presentation standards.
• Ensure service stations are fully stocked with polished glassware, silverware, and necessary service items.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and service-ready work area throughout the shift.
• Support the FOH team by ensuring all service items are prepared and available for execution.
• Complete all setup, in-service, and closing side work to standard.
• Communicate clearly with the FOH Management Team and service team.
• Execute all tasks according to established standards.
• Perform additional duties as assigned based on operational needs.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & AVAILABILITY

This position requires the ability to:

• Stand and walk for extended periods, up to 8 hours per shift.
• Frequently bend, reach, lift, and carry up to 40 pounds.
• Perform repetitive movements and use manual dexterity throughout the shift.
• Work effectively in hot, cold, and fast-paced environments.
• Walk up and down stairs repeatedly throughout the shift.
• Work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Valid food handlers certificate & alcohol server awareness training
• You must have 2-3 years of previous high-volume restaurant experience at similar elevated dining establishments.
