Overview

AtkinsRéalis is seeking an Instrumentation & Controls Engineering Intern Summer 2027 to join our Bothell WA office.

Your Role

• Learn to interpret and analyze various types of engineering drawings including P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams) electrical schematics and loop diagrams
• Assist in reviewing and verifying engineering drawings for accuracy
• Maintain and update data in engineering databases or software tools
• Under the mentorship of team members learn to perform a variety of engineering tasks as it pertains to instrumentation and controls engineering including sizing instrumentation control valves and designing process control logic

About You

• EXPERIENCE:
  • No experience is generally required if accepted into an Associates or Bachelors degree program in a related technical field.
• EDUCATION:
  • Must have completed 60 hours towards a chemical mechanical or electrical engineering degree from an ABET accredited program by the start of the internship (Summer 2027).
• SPECIAL SKILLS:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite products
  • Experience with AutoCAD (not required but preferred)

Additional Information

Expected compensation range is between $25 - $31 hourly depending on skills experience and geographical location.
