The Boogie Lab team is looking for a passionate, hard-working BARISTA to join us at BOOGIE LAB Bakery & Bistro in Washington Heights.
BOOGIE LAB is a neighborhood bakery and bistro bringing artisan sourdough baking to uptown Manhattan. Our menu draws on the idea that sourdough should be made with only 3 ingredients, flour, salt and water. Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and serve specialty coffee and other beverages to the highest standard
Provide warm, efficient, and attentive service to every customer
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar and café area
Operate and care for coffee equipment with attention to detail.
Strong customer service and communication skills
Passion for quality, and consistency
Knowledge of espresso machine, preparation, milk texturing, coffee brewing and latte art techniques - including dialing in, calibrating grinders, adjusting extraction times, and maintaining equipment
Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure
Attention to detail and pride in presentation
